Volunteer Registration Form

We currently have a vacancy for a group Secretary - see below - but we are always on the look out for new volunteer stewards  to join our friendly team. If you have experience or generally have an interest in history, wish to learn more about Tenbury's heritage or simply enjoy meeting people and can spare a couple of hours per month we would love to hear from you.

Volunteer Secretary opportunity at Tenbury Museum

 We are looking for a new Secretary to join our friendly team of volunteers and be involved in the administration of the group and its activities. The role should take up 2 hours of your time per month but at peak times could be a little more. If you have administrative experience, an interest in history and can spare a little time, we would love to hear from you.
 

Skills/Requirements

  • You will need to use your own initiative and have good admin & organisational skills, be computer literate and at present have the ability to work from home using your own PC/laptop  

  • Be willing to attend committee meetings that are usually held late afternoon/early evening

  • Experience in charity governance would be marvellous but it is not essential

  • It would be ideal if you lived locally but anywhere within 10 miles of Tenbury is fine

 

Main Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with our friendly board of Trustees to ensure the efficient management of the charity and its legal compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements e.g., Charity Commission submissions and Arts Council England accreditation

  • Arranging venues and agendas for committee meetings and the AGM, including the taking and circulating of all minutes

  • Dealing with correspondence for the group, the majority via e-mail
